Kartikeya began in 2013 when designer Nitin Kartikeya, after earning his degree from JD Institute of Fashion in New Delhi started his own label following his role as co-founder of the brand Dozakh. His goal was simple: to bring the old world’s lore and romance into modern fashion. His work is rooted in heritage, myth, superstition, and the faded opulence of Baroque grandeur; tradition and legendary pasts meet theatrical emotion in every piece.

You can see his vision in every detail. Intricate appliqué, hand embroidery, French-knots, and ombré tones are more than techniques : they are storytelling. The clothes are artful, romantic, and built to feel timeless.

Kartikeya is both local and global: garments are made in-house by skilled artisans, then stocked in top Indian stores and select international retailers. That balance of craftsmanship and reach is central to the label’s identity.

Over the years Kartikeya’s creations have been worn by Bollywood celebrities and featured in prestigious fashion circles. The label has made appearances at events like Lakmé Fashion Week and Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. It’s also been seen in Vogue India and brought to life on screens through the film 'Prague' styling credits.

Our flagship home is in Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi. We aim to craft clothes that feel authentic and carry the weight of history and emotion without ever feeling theatrical.
